December 18, 2025. Nothing’s Community Round 3 has just closed, raising £16 million from 13,000 investors across more than 80 countries. The community investment program that started with $1.5 million in 54 seconds in June 2021 has now raised a cumulative total across three rounds that dwarfs anything the consumer electronics crowdfunding space has seen at this valuation. 13,000 people own equity in Nothing. They are not passive observers of the brand. They are shareholders.
What Community Round 3 means at a $1.3 billion valuation
The first community round happened before Nothing had shipped a product. The second followed the Phone (1). Community Round 3 is closing at a $1.3 billion unicorn valuation, which means investors entering now are paying the exit prices of the 2021 Community Round investors. The community that got in early has seen real value creation. The question Community Round 3 is answering is whether new investors at unicorn-stage prices believe the IPO story is real enough to justify the current valuation without the early-entry discount.
£16 million from 13,000 investors at an average of roughly £1,230 per investor. That is not retail speculation money. That is meaningful personal investment from a community that has followed the brand since Carl Pei’s departure from OnePlus in October 2020 and has decided that the $1.3 billion trajectory is real enough to back with real money.
The IPO clock
Every community investment round that closes brings a larger group of individual shareholders closer to wanting liquidity. 13,000 investors cannot exit their positions in Nothing until either an IPO or an acquisition. Nothing has been announced either, and the company has been consistent that it will not rush toward public markets. But a $200 million Series C, 13,000 community shareholders, 7 million devices shipped, and a Bengaluru flagship store opening in February 2026 is not the profile of a company that stays private indefinitely. The IPO window is somewhere in the next two to three years if the trajectory holds. Community Round 3 investors are betting that it is.
Nothing is ending 2025 with more capital, more investors, more shareholders, more retail presence, and more products across more markets than at any point in its history. The question for 2026 is whether the physical retail expansion into Bengaluru, New York, and Tokyo delivers what the community round investors are pricing in. We will know more by this time next year.
